Agile Program Management with Scrum

This two day, advanced course helps you to take the Scrum implementation in your organization from Project to Program level. The two teachers combine their experience of PMI-based practices and Agile practices to share techniques that support both Agile and hybrid programs. In the course you learn why Program Management is critical in scaling Agile initiatives. Major areas include:

Critical interactions with executives;
The role of Program Managers as intermediaries between programs and corporate areas such as Finance, Legal and HR;
How to support Product Owners and others in the Line Of Business in portfolio management and backlog management
How to support Delivery Teams as they work together to deliver business value for the organization:
You will create Value Stream Maps of your software delivery organization in both the ‘as-is’ and ‘to-be’ states and will learn how to migrate your current program management organization to an Agile program management organization. The coaches will share and inspect critical success factors for this migration with you.

This course provides the best practices, tools and techniques for individuals who have experienced implementing Scrum with pilot teams, or have worked in a Scrum environment. You will learn how Scrum can be applied in more complex program and product environments across multiple, distributed teams. In addition to covering advanced approaches for scaling Scrum and Agile practices across your organization, this course will provide practical, "real-world" examples of how to accelerate the pace of change in your organization and development practices.
