Dates and times for meetings

I know it's typical for social groups like this to have gatherings on some some regular basis, usually the same day of the week, same time, same location. Trying a fresh direction, I am not planning anything similar for T Party. Here in the Boston area, anyway, other groups are already doing this very well and I'm not feeling any need to start my own rendition. So what do I have in mind? In the discussion topic "Who should join T Party? Events? What events?", I identified three types of events, activity events, meeting events, and communication events. I'm happy with activity events being scheduled whenever and whereever makes the most sense for each individual event. Communication events are for later, after this group grows up a little, and some of us have identified some common interests. That leaves meeting events--events where the main purpose is to meet and greet new members, prospective members, or just get to know each other better in general. Essentially, these are new member meetings.

Ideally, we'd have new member meetings as often as we have new members that can come and are interested in coming. Ideally, there would be an ongoing stream of new members and therefore an ongoing need to have these meetings fairly frequently. So sure, I'm hoping to have new member meetings frequently, but still not necessarily on any regular basis. The problem with having meetings always at the same time on the same day of the week is that the chosen date and time won't be convenient for some people. I think it will work better to mix up dates, times, and locations to try to give more people chances to make a new member meeting.
