The Backlot Film Festival being held at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Culver City, CA, between April 2-5, 2008 is featuring several films of interest to libertarians.
The festival's website is
http://www.backlotfilmfestival.com and includes the trailers of the following films.
The first is David T. Hardy's new feature-length documentary, In Search of the Second Amendment, which is having its premiere at this festival. The official website for this excellent presentation on the history and legal status of the Constitutionally protected "right to keep and bear arms" is at
http://www.secondamendmentdocumentary.com/.
The second is my own suspense-comedy feature film, Lady Magdalene's, starring Nichelle Nichols, best known for her role as "Uhura" on Star Trek, but now also "Nana Dawson" on Heroes. Since before I became a filmmaker I became known as a libertarian novelist and journalist (look me up on Wikipedia) you can count on a movie I wrote and directed to have substantial pro-freedom content. Our screening at the Backlot Film Festival will be the evening of Thursday, April 3, 2008.
The official website for Lady Magdalene's is

I hope to see you there.
Cheers!
