Gladstone Institutes Science for Life Free Public Lecture Series Presents:
The Creative Mind: Brain Degeneration and the Growth of Artistic Expression
Neighbors of the Gladstone Institutes are invited to explore the paradox of creativity and the brain at the Gladstone Institute’s free lecture and discussion: The Creative Mind: Brain Degeneration and the Growth of Artistic Expression, Thursday, April 3, 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. at the Gladstone Institutes, 1650 Owens St, across from UCSF Mission Bay
Drs. Lennart Mucke, Director of the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease and Bruce Miller, Director, Memory and Aging Center, UCSF will converse with Deborah Aschheim, Visiting Artist in Residence, Memory and Aging Center, UCSF about startling research findings demonstrate that some people who are afflicted with neurodegenerative diseases can develop newfound artistic interests and capabilities.
The lectures are free with open seating and followed by a reception. Parking is available across the street in the UCSF Rutter Community Center Garage.
The Science for Life Lectures are co-sponsored by The J. David Gladstone Institutes and Merck Research Laboratories.
