 Workshop Name: Export-Import Training Programme organized by Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture (MACCIA)

 Workshop Details: Globalization has created many opportunities on the International level. With a view to enable existing and budding entrepreneurs to take advantage of these opportunities, Maharashtra Chamber of Commerce, Industry & Agriculture has organized a five day Export-Import Training Programme at Kasliwal Board Room, Fort from Monday 25th May 2009 to Friday 29th May 2009 from 6.30pm to 9.30pm.

Students who have just appeared for degree examinations can also take advantage of this training programme. The participants completing the training programme satisfactorily will be given a certificate by the Chamber.

The uniqueness of this programme is that, it provides details of various steps, incentives and facilities relating to export-import business. Essential factors for successful exporting, preliminaries for starting export business. Registration for exporters, sending/exporting samples, procurement of a license, processing of export order, appointment of overseas agents etc., will ensure good beginning for the new entrants in the international trade.

The topics on exports will be on introduction to business market place, credit insurance, exports finance marine insurance, exchange rate, compulsory quality control, pre-shipment inspection, preparation of goods for shipment, documentation for exports, shipping & customs clearance will provide success in export business.

With a view to update the knowledge on various financial and fiscal incentives provided by the Government and Foreign Exchange facilities given by the RBI, the contents of the programme have been well designed.

This programme highlights on exim bank finance, negotiation of documents for collection of payment (viz. L/C. D/P etc) knowledge of foreign exchange, foreign exchange facilities to exporters, export-import incentives. Besides, scheme for export-oriented unites (EOU) and units in export processing zones has been well elucidated.

The MACCIA has appealed all to take advantage of this opportunity.

 Fees: The seats are limited and will be allotted on first come first served basis. Rs. 3,000 for students & 3,500 for others
