News Over Coffee was founded on the basis that gathering information and sharing it with one another on a very local level will help everyone in the community to be informed and ensure that Nazareth remains a great place to live.

The blogs and discussion groups allow approved submitters to post at will, the classifieds require an approval, but the calendar was not so empowering. Individuals would have had to submit them to the editor, who would have had to enter them and post them to the site.

Then I found Upcoming.org, a social networking site focused on events. This site at first glance appears to be perfect for the needs of a commmunity site like News Over Coffee.
