It doesn't cost anything, but the unused cycles of your CPU on your computer. In fact, unless you use your computer for computational purposes (read rocket science) all the time, you are wasting precious CPU resources that can be used to help bolster the Libertarian name and support a good cause. The Folding@home project created by Stanford University has a program that anyone can download that helps them understand protein folding and how it relates to various diseases.
