Job Description:
They are looking for a Senior-level, forward thinking developer who wants to be part of a quickly growing startup, work with amazing people on a great cause.
You'd be working with our existing contractors who have developed Causecast 1.0. The technical foundations are in place and you'd be learning the system, doing maintenance and adding new features onto the system.
Our technology is built on top of Ruby on Rails, rspec, REST, jQuery, Alchemist, Poolpartyrb, HAML, SASS and a slew of other new technologies so be prepared to dive in.

We are looking for a permanent hire

Ideal Candidate Characteristics
1) Broad & deep skill set with willingness to get hands dirty - the ideal candidate would be someone who is part architect part developer. Someone who will quickly master how the site functions as a whole, but also someone who is willing to get their hands dirty and, at least for the short term, make changes to production level code.

2) Experience with growing development teams - we will be looking to this first hire to lead us in building out our development capabilities (with junior development hires) as well as our development infrastructure (dev/test environments, bug tracking, deployment practices, etc.). Our existing infrastructure has been set up by CitrusByte. I think in many cases we'll want to continue using what they have put in place; however, I think it's important that our internal team really owns that infrastructure.

3) Buy-in - Given how integral this position will be to the growth of the company, we are really looking for someone who believes in the company and is committed to seeing it grow and be successful. To that end, someone who has a cause they are particularly passionate about is a big plus.
