Manoj has asked me to come up and contribute to the session, and so I'm introducing myself.
I come from a background of 28 years in the software industry, having worked in a variety of sales & marketing management, business management, and operational roles. After an Applied Physics degree at University College London I spent nine years at IBM, and have held director and senior manager positions at Cyberaid, CSI, IMI/Brook Street Computers, Interactive, DataWorks, Indus, Science Systems and CODA. Most of my career has been involved in selling and implementing Enterprise Requirements Planning (ERP), Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO), financial and commercial software solutions in a variety of industrial, manufacturing, commercial and government sectors. Currently I run a consulting company that focuses on Software as a Service (SaaS) based solutions in accounting, workflow and supply chain collaboration.
I write the Business Two Zero blog (
http://biztwozero.com), which concentrates on the application of guerrilla marketing, web 2.0, SaaS and Open Source tools in business. I'm also a member of the Enterprise Irregulars group of bloggers who share a focus on the latest technology in Enterprise Software.
You can contact me through the blog as well as here.
