The Good Negro

This was my first time seeing a play at this theater. I must say that when I arrived and saw the very simple set (a few chairs, a lecturn, and two tables) I was skeptical as to how good the play might be. However, once the play started, I quickly found that the actors and actresses were so good that only a basic set was necessary. The play takes you through various highs and lows and I found myself totally engaged in it. While I am no theater buff, I would say if you want a no frills play that packs a punch and is well-acted, this is your place. If you are one that is easily offended by foul language, I'd advise staying away.
