Notes and Metro Search

We just released a few new features again! Upcoming.org Notes allow you to (finally) send messages to one another. Metro Search should make it much faster to look for metros that you might be interested in.

Metro Search

Metro Search should let you find Metros much more quickly, and should also help some of our new users get situated here faster. This is a first little step on the way to a much better site experience based upon geographical relevance.

Notes! (Happy Notes.)

Notes are a lightweight way for you to send another user a message. By default, we've set everyone up so that you'll get an email whenever you receive a note, but you can go to My Settings > "Edit your personal profile" if you'd only like to get emailed when Friends send you a note, or never. We hope that it's a fun feature, relatively quick to produce, that we can later graduate into a more full-fledged Upcoming Mail. Til we fry the bigger fish, have fun with your Notes!

It's very exciting for us to be finally ramping up our development speed, now that we're a little more settled in. The month of April should be really, really cool for Upcoming users. Keep a close watch on our news for the latest updates!

Oops! Forgot to mention that you won't see your Note box til you get a Note! Send them by going to a user profile page and clicking "Send this user a Note". :)

Mystery du jour: Why might this public, non-self-promotional event:

Not show in the appropriate Metro:

After your last update the general berlin list only shows 9 events although my personal page shows around 40.
I don't care that much because i use this list as a calendar for my homepage and if you go and visit "energylabs events" you can see everything, but if you simply visit upcoming.org you can just see 9.
the berlin page: http://upcoming.org/metro/de/berlin/bln/
my page: http://upcoming.org/user/27221/
