Star Parties
With meteors showering streaks of light across our night sky, it's high time to take off for the weekend. Some Upcomers are already planning a camp out in Washington for a chance to spot these star-bursts.
As the Perseid comet passes close to the orbit of the Earth once a year, it sheds debris that collides with our atmosphere. We see this debris burn up, resembling falling stars. The farther you flee from light pollution, the more stars you'll see.
Go find a star party near you. Can't find one? Start your own.
