There are a couple of underlying principles along which the Hungarian Language and Culture Summer University is organized:

• The five-stage training structure ensures the learning of the language from a basic communication level to an advanced level (basic, beginner, intermediate, upper-intermediate, advanced). Those students who have already had some experience in learning Hungarian may find their place among the different levels after a placement test and an interview.


• The groups are made up of a minimum number of 4 and a maximum number of 8 students.


• Our teachers are professional, dynamic and experienced teachers.


• After the course and taking the final exam students are given a certificate (transcript of records) with credit points earned at the course, moreover, they have the opportunity to take the accredited, international ECL language exam at the Foreign Language Centre of the University of Pécs.

The Hungarian Language and Culture Summer University is a 4-week-long course but it can be attended for two or three weeks as well. This time it is going to start on 27th July and last until 24th August, 2008. It contains 30 language lessons a week. The language teaching focuses on communication, laying stress upon the use of the language, profiting from the opportunities provided by the Hungarian language environment.

As far as Charolais is concerned, the breed had been introduced to Slovakia and to the Czech Republic through Hungary. The World Congress and the study tour will focus on the presentation of Charolais herds medium and large-size farms with cattles of outstanding breeding values will be visited in each country. Besides the technical visits, participants will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the geographical, architectural and historical sights of the countries to be visited. Visit to the famous Hungarian Great Plain where the traditional Hungarian Grey cattle is living under natural circumstances, to the biggest agricultural exhibition of Slovakia and to the ancient, historical centre of Prague will be highlights of the program.

The ISIAME’08 conference will involve invited lectures, oral and poster presentations. The conference starts with a welcome reception on Sunday evening (17th August), and will be running from Monday to Friday. A whole day excursion is planned on Wednesday (20th August), a national holiday of Hungary. No parallel sessions are planned. Contributions with perspective industrial relevance are welcome. Special attention will be given to novel and/or rapidly expanding areas.

Personal for Late Egyptian Religion

Parallel to the weakening of centralized royal authority during the Third Intermediate Period Egypt, the role of temples in the political and social life was revaluated and new artistic forms developed. These tendencies played a definitive role in Egyptian history and cultural identity for more than a millenium, and helped to expand its view even outside its boundaries. The 5th Aegyptus et Pannonia symposium aimes to focus the Egyptian culture with special attention to the personal of its temples, and especially to the activities of the priests and priestesses, without regard whether they lived in Egypt or in far countries of the ancient world, including also Pannonia in the Roman Empire.

The symposium is open to all scholars and will take place at the Hungarian National Museum.

The organizing committee has the pleasure to invite you to participate in the FORMS/FORMAT 2008 Symposium on Formal Methods for Automation and Safety in Railway and Automotive Systems. After several successful events, organized commonly by the Institute for Traffic Safety and Automation Engineering, TU Braunschweig and the Department of Control and Transport Automation, Budapest University of Technology and Economics the subsequent event of series FORMS/FORMAT symposium will be held in Budapest, Hungary, on 9-10th of October 2008.

Aims and Scope

Complexity in automation- and safety systems as well in railway as in automotive applications are dominated more and more by formal description means, methods and tools as well. Formal techniques provide next to the correctness and integrity checkups – especially in safety relevant systems – the possibility to prove the syntactic and semantic specification of the system as well as to simulate the system operation up to its development to implementations.

Requirements of the CENELEC- and IEC-Standards on formal techniques, particularly with regard to the handling of safety analysis, are to be treated in FORMS/FORMAT 2008. The main focus lies on topics facing formal techniques for railway applications and intelligent transportation systems as well as for automotive applications. Gained findings, experiences and also difficulties associated with the handling of the subject matter are to be shown. Thus, the scope of the symposium includes, but is not limited to
