We will have ONE shift of canvassers heading out of our doors on Sunday. The shift will leave at 10:00am, so please make sure you are at our office by 9:30am. We will be leaving from 600 Mule Rd. in Toms River, which is the JOHN ADLER FOR CONGRESS HQ. We will be walking on behalf of both Obama and John Adler.

The Walk for Change will be the largest grassroots effort in NJ history. The statewide 'weekend of action' will have an immense impact on Obama's chances of victory in November. Come out and help the movement for change!

Meet at the STEPS office for a door-to-door canvass in Lakewood. Another HUGE event and we need LOTS of volunteers to help knock on thousands of doors this weekend. This is the wind up to the finish line, which is fast approaching.

Walk with friends, neighbors and other Obama supporters as we hand out lit and talk to voters.
We start at 2 PM, meeting at the STEPS (Solutions To End Poverty Soon) office located at 14 Clifton Ave S, Lakewood, NJ 08701. After a brief training we will disperse across much of Lakewood, working in TEAMS of two.

Each year Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Ocean County recruits and trains court-appointed volunteers from our community to advocate on behalf of children who have been removed from their homes due to abuse and neglect.

We are an independent, non-profit organization (501c3) and our volunteers undergo extensive training in order to best serve these vulnerable children in our community. Our volunteers work with one child or a family of children which allows them to focus on each child’s specific needs.

While we are continuing to advance our cause of providing special attention and advocacy to abused and neglected children, we have not yet met our goal of providing a CASA volunteer for every child in Ocean County who needs one.

You can help us by attending an exciting charity event that we are hosting @ Basil T’s Brew Pub & Italian Grill in Toms River.

Join us at 6:00 p.m. on October 17th for the first ever Okto’brew’fest, a dinner and microbrew tasting!

A six course meal will be provided featuring select microbrews per course.
Tickets are $75 per person, $25 of which is tax deductible.
There will also be a 50/50 raffle with tickets available at $25 per person.
