With delight we present you the preliminary agenda for the Nucletron Central Europe Users Meeting, which will be held on 15-17 October 2009 in Budapest, Hungary. We have aimed for an inspiring programme that looks at brachytherapy from both a scientific and a practical perspective. A Toolkit for Good Medical Practice in Brachytherapy is therefore the theme of this meeting. A host of nationally and internationally renowned experts will address all significant aspects in a series of interactive talks, discussions and video demonstrations.

In addition to sharing experiences and giving feedback on new Nucletron technology, we want to focus on how to successfully implement clinical protocols and procedures that drive good-quality results within the technological and socio-economic context of Central Europe. Brachytherapy has always been the mainstay for treating gynaecological cancers and in fact the standard of care in Central Europe. Going forward, brachytherapy will play an even more crucial role, not only because of the rising incidence of indications like prostate and breast cancer but primarily because of its proven efficacy and efficiency in treating these diseases. At the same time, clinical and technological developments are driving the transition from 2-D (implant-based) to 3-D (volume-based) treatment planning and reinforcing the use of image-guidance for (interstitial) applications. These important developments offer vital inspiration for exploring and discussing sensible solutions that are relevant for your practice.

That is why this year’s Central Europe Users Meeting will focus on the opportunity to expand from GYN to other body sites and the benefit from key advancements in image-guided and adaptive brachytherapy by using knowledge and technology that is currently available to you. This meeting intends to offer you a toolkit for expanding the extraordinary potential of brachytherapy by breaking the barriers through clinical proof, cost-effectiveness and education.

OCALA, FLORIDA (April 30, 2009) - Palm Partnership Training proudly announces the 2009 "RIDE WELL CLINIC TOUR" coming to an area near you! Join Lynn Palm and Cyril Pittion-Rossillon to take your riding to a new level! Beginner, Youth, Amateur, Pleasure Rider or National Champion! The RIDE WELL CLINICS are a great value for everyone. With a minimum of 18 hours of instruction over 3 days, these clinics are an affordable way to train with two of the best educators in the industry!

Lynn Palm and Cyril Pittion-Rossillon will personally evaluate each rider’s skills, horse's level of training and proper tack fit. Smaller groups will be formed within the clinic according to each participant's skill level. Small groups will rotate between riding sessions and lecture to give each rider a thorough understanding of the lessons. Clinic participants will learn common sense-achievable, humane, dressage principles for all breeds of horses and all rider disciplines. Lynn and Cyril will follow their successful training methods-improve the horse by improving the rider.

Three of the "RIDE WELL" clinics have been selected for a special 4 day session to include a "Show & Tell Horse Show/Clinic." The "Show & Tell" Horse Show/Clinic will offer competitive events including Showmanship, Horsemanship, and Hunt Seat Equitation and is open to all breeds. Participants in the competitive events will be judged for score and receive valuable feedback from the judges including show ring strategies and training tips. Participants will have opportunities to "Ask the Judge" and have several chances to win great prizes in excess of $1000! “Show and Tell” is open to the public and to all clinic participants.

Participant enrollment is limited to guarantee personalized instruction. Participants must be able to walk, trot, canter and young and green horses are welcome. This series includes a one on one pre course evaluation with a diabetes educator, four weekly class sessions (either Wednesday mornings or Tuesday evenings) and a two-month post-class final visit. Topics include self monitoring of blood glucose, hypoglycemia, medications, meal plans, eating out, exercise, foot care and diabetes complications. Join us at Packard Children's for these very popular classes developed by Julie Metzger, RN, and Rob Lehman, MD, both from Children's Hospital in Seattle, WA. " For Girls Only" is for girls, 10-12 years of age, and their moms or other adult female resource person and includes discussions on physical changes and menstruation, what girls should know about boys, social issues and sexuality. It is important that the child and adult plan to attend both parts of the program. eli keszler

Using drums, along with crotales, bells, bowed metal, strings, Eli
creates a unique whirlwind of sound that balances sparse droning
harmonics with intense, fast, free rhythms. He has performed, recorded
or collaborated with artists such as Jandek, Phill Niblock (performed
a new work of his for bowed crotales and saxophone), Roscoe Mitchell,
Loren Connors, Charles Cohen, Anthony Coleman (appearing on his New
World Records Release), Aki Onda, Bryan Eubanks, David Linton, Steve
Pyne (Redhorse), Greg Kelley, Ashley Paul. Eli has performed at venues
like The Institute of Contemporary Art (Boston), Irving Plaza, Merkin
Hall, Issue Project Room, The Stone and The Knitting Factory (NYC and
LA), and countless bookstores, basements, and small galleries around
the US and Europe. He has released solo CD’s and cassettes on REL as
well as labels such as Rare Youth (debut solo LP, Livingston), Reverb
Worship and Something on The Road.

ashley paul

Ashley Paul plays reeds, unique string instruments, electronics and
sings. Her dream-like music juxtaposes aggressive, sustained high
pitched blasts, floating vocals, clattering strings and bells, cry-
like saxophones and is somehow tied together by oddly melodic songs.
In the past year she performed with Loren connors, Aki Onda, Joe
Morris, and Greg Kelley, premiered a new work by Phill Niblock for
soprano saxophone and bowed crotales (written for her and Eli
Keszler), performed as part of the US premiere of Mauricio Kagel’s
masterpiece ‘Der Schall’ at Merkin Concert Hall in New York and was
heard in a live feature on wzbc’s Rare Frequency. Additionally, Ashley
performs regularly with Anthony Coleman in duo, trio and on his recent
New World Records release, plays duo with Eli Keszler and has recently
begun performing solo, sharing the stage with Thurston Moore, Mats
Gustaffson, Chris Corsano and others.

“I’m always trying to focus and clarify where I am going with my sound
works to generate the most honest creations possible. Like anyone, I
am inevitably influenced by many things (to view that as negative is
utopian), but never want those influences to overcome my expression.
In the spectrum of my goals, there’s no point in recreating what has
already been done (I have no problem with stylistic explorations of
established styles or approaches in other artists / genres), and I am
always realizing that my works can be easily classified (I’m not
destroying any boundaries). While sound revolution is not the point, I
do want to create something as “true” and refined as possible,
something that is me, or more practically a part of me: a mood a
sensation, a memory. An alchemy where I take the standard elements and
generate something unique.”
