    <description><![CDATA[Come and join us, for the last time in 2009, from 7:30pm at the White Horse in Leamington Spa, for a bite to eat and a drink or two with Warwick and Leamington&#39;s Multipack community, to discuss anything from web design and development, social media and the internet through to game design, multimedia and anything remotely geek-oriented!<br /><br />
Please note that there will be no Leamington Multipack Social in December. The next event will be - tentatively - at 7:30pm on Tuesday, January 26th, the location of which will be confirmed beforehand.<br />

    <title>Nov 20, 2009: Standards.Next - CSS at Time &amp; Life Building, 2nd Floor</title>
    <description><![CDATA[Standards.next comes to New York and would like to invite all interested web developers and designers to attend and participate in a free event focused on CSS3. <br /><br />
Talks will range from a focus on CSS3 features related to color, typography and media; to discussions of Open Web  concepts, current case studies and demos, as well as brainstorming sessions to openly work with and solve shared challenges within our industry.<br /><br />
We&#39;ve got several speakers lined up, including:<br /><br />
- Molly E. Holzschlag, who will speak on CSS3 color including HSLa and RGBa<br /><br />
- Andy Budd will speak on backgrounds and borders and other cool CSS3 design stuff<br /><br />
- Håkon Wium Lie, who will present on Web typography<br /><br />
- Pete LePage on HTML5 features in IE<br /><br />
We expect to have a few surprises, and there&#39;ll be opportunities for attendee presentations via lightening talks.<br /><br />
