The Awkward Kings of Comedy, a new standup documentary, is taping live in New York City. The film will showcase four African-American comics whose work expands the genre of black comedy while it presents each comic's distinct and very nerdy point of view.

Awkward comedians Victor Varnado (Late Night with Conan O'Brien, My Name is Earl), Hannibal Buress (The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Live at Gotham), Eric André (Live at Gotham, HBO's Aspen Comedy Festival) and Baron Vaughn (Damn Yankees, Live At Gotham) will show the world jokester misfits are to be laughed at on their own terms.

Though they were not the first to synthesize jazz and hip-hop, Digable Planets epitomized the laid-back charm of jazz hipsters better than any group before or since. Their 1993 debut, "Reachin' A New Refutation of Time and Space" took us on a mellow ride laced with samples from Sonny Rollins and Curtis Mayfield and offered the essential hit, "Rebirth of Slick: Cool Like Dat." "Cool Like Dat" topped the charts and can still ignite a party fifteen years later. After earning a Grammy Award for "Best New Group," Digable Planets went onto create their best album to date, "Blowout Comb." Successfully fusing jazz and hip hop, old school and street - Digable Planets eventually hit a roadblock, after creative differences prompted nearly a decade of solo projects and collaborations for the individual members.

As the ten year anniversary of "Blowout Comb" approached, the group announced their reunion and promptly recorded "Beyond the Spectrum: The Creamy Spy Chronicles." The quintessential label, Blue Note, released the work in 2005.

The Silhouettes aredestined to become one of the top oldies bands in the country and will feature some of the best hand picked musicians and vocalist in the northwest as is shown by the audio samples. We specialize in favorite rock songs from the 50's, 60's, 70's & 80's and a few good newer songs and originals. We like doing all the great songs by Elvis, The Beatles, Chuck Berry, The Rolling Stones, Temptations, Steppenwolf and many many more! The Band

Since 1987 Ezra Charles and the Works had been subtly infusing the concept "Houston's Band" into the city's consciousness, without ever mentioning it by name. At the 2003 Thanksgiving Day Parade, the CBS affiliate television broadcast anchor Greg Hurst officially bestowed this title on them to about a million viewers. "Darn appropriate," proclaimed a fan the next day. With their own sound and repertoire (mostly from their six CD's), this band lays down a rockin' groove that defies simple descriptions, but is firmly rooted in every type of music that ever came out of this part of Texas: Boogie-Woogie, Swing, Rockabilly and Blues. Famous for having girls in the horn section and flashy piano antics, Ezra has never had his songs be the first thing the audience noticed, but ultimately they have got to be the reason for the band's remarkable staying power.

Ezra Charles is Houston's best-known keyboardist, winning the Houston Press Readers Poll Award for four years and Best Piano/Keyboards in Public News for three years. The band has produced six albums and was chosen by The Houston Rockets to be their official band for three NBA seasons. The Mike Officer Band (The M.O.B.) is an eclectic Alternative Rock group with a heavy Blues and Folk influence born in the City of Angels. The 60th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards will be held on Sunday, September 21, 2008, with the honors for the Creative Arts to be held eight days earlier on Saturday, September 13. The ceremony will be televised live (tape delay on the west coast) on ABC.

it was announced that both the Primetime ceremony and Creative Arts ceremonies would move into the newly-opened 7,100 seat Nokia Theatre at the L.A. Live entertainment complex in Downtown Los Angeles, adjacent to the Staples Center. The Governor's Ball is scheduled to take place at the nearby Los Angeles Convention Center.

Seattle, WA -- Fans of progressive pop will have reason to celebrate when Francis Dunnery - composer, performer and recording artist - shares his music in a unique concert performance to be captured on film and HD. The audience will enjoy a rare full-band showcase of the artist’s classic work as he commemorates the upcoming re-release of Tall Blonde Helicopter. Flying Spot Entertainment is partnering with the artist and the Aquarian Nation label to create a full-length DVD release of the event.

Francis will be backed by Echolyn’s Brett Kull on guitars and vocals and his bandmate Paul Ramsey on drums. Joining this progressive-rock dream team are Jamie Bishop (bass), and Erica Brillhart (keyboards).

From the South: GSP north to Exit 105 - follow the signs for RTE 18 North. Take RTE 18 for 21 miles to the 527/Main St Spotswood exit. Follow the signs for Main St - Spotswood (CR-615 South). Proceed for 1-1/2 miles then make a RIGHT on SUMMERHILL ROAD. The Cambridge Inn is on your left.

From the Red Bank/Middletown Area: GSP north to the Cheesequake Service Area (mile 123), cut through the Commuter Parking Lot at the center/North side of the service area, and make a Left on CR-615 (BORDENTOWN RD), pass RTE 9, pass RTE 18 then proceed for another 1-1/2 miles then make a RIGHT on SUMMERHILL ROAD. The Cambridge Inn is on your left.

Buckethead is the masked, inverted KFC bucket wearing, "mutant guitar virtuoso" that stunned audiences during Primus's set at OzzFest '99, toured the world with Praxis and GR2, and graced many a movie soundtrack/score. His major label debut as a member of the avant-funk outfit Praxis in 1992 opened ears and minds to his unique character and musical stylings. He has since released several solo albums (under his name and Death Cube K) and participated in many group settings (most notably the Deli Creeps, Praxis, Zillatron, Giant Robot, Giant Robot 2 and Cobra Strike) and performed/recorded numerous collaborations with other adventurous musicians and artists.

KAWEH - LIVE IN SAN FRANCISCO CD/DVD COMBO RELEASE
The long anticipated live album with an international all star line up of musicians and dancers has come to fruition with an added live multi camera DVD.

Fans of all walks of life, at every show ask, "what album is that song on?" "When will it be released?" Songs like "Marina" by Rocco Granata, "Parla Piu Piano" (from the movie "Godfather" by Nino Rotta), Cumbanchero (Rafael Hernandez) and Cancion del Mariachi (from the movie "Desperado" by Cesar Rosas) have long been anticipated.

It has been seven years and four albums since Kaweh released a vocal track. In this live release Kaweh sings in Spanish and Italian and he captivates the audience with his fast rasgueado, his combination of picado and western picking and his sweet melodies, which people whistle and hum after the concert.

Internationally acclaimed Belly Dancer "Sandra" and Israely educator percussionist Dror Sinai mesmerize the audience with a one of a kind performance as KAWEH opens up the concert with "Persia" from the "Play Spanish" album. Sandra and Dror return mid set to give yet another powerful mystifying performance on the songs "Sahhra" and "Play Spanish" that leave the audience chanting.
