Was ist ein BarCamp?<br /><br />
Ein BarCamp ist eine Ad-hoc-Nicht-Konferenz (Unconference), die zum ersten Mal 2005 in San Francisco und im deutschen Sprachraum zum ersten Mal im September 2006 in Wien stattfand.<br /><br />
Barcamps sind aus dem Bedüfnis heraus entstanden, dass sich Menschen in einer offenen Umgebung austauschen und voneinander lernen können. Es ist eine intensive Veranstaltung mit Diskussionen, Präsentationen, und Interaktion der Teilnehmer untereinander.<br /><br />

European social networking has now become a point of strong interest to the Internet annd Mobile Social Networking Industry. While few North American companies actively pursue the E.U. market for social networking, we have found that the majority of the attendace of SNC2008 are Europeans. Not surprisingly, the attendees at the event each dominate market share within their spheres of influence for the E.U. <br /><br />
Our annual European Social Networking Conference chose will provide the next European event in London on September 22-23, 2008. While it will cover the Social Networking and Internet Personals business, the event will also focus on Europe. Similar to the Miami event this two day European Social Networking Conference will consist of morning seminars and lectures, followed by afternoon workshops. The workshops will consist of a series of 90 minute intensive lectures that are designed to improve internet social networking business performance. Language issues, cultural differences, technological developments and preferences for specific European countries will be covered at this event. Summer Coder&#39;s Social is the outdoor and (hopefully) sunny successor!!!<br />
This will be a very casual geek event with outdoor activities, games and BBQ so be sure to bring the whole family.<br />

Die Branchenevents der vergangenen zwei Monate waren – wie immer – Männerveranstaltungen. Als die Zukunft des Web 2.0 diskutiert und gestaltet wurde, waren gerade mal dreizehn Prozent Frauen zugegen. Niemand hat uns an der Teilnahme gehindert. Keiner Frau wurde die Anreise verboten. Wir sind einfach nur nicht hingegangen.<br /><br />
Warum eigentlich nicht?<br /><br />
Anhand von Studien und persönlichen Erfahrungen werden wir herausfinden, wie Frauen das Web nutzen und was uns besonders begeistert, stört oder kalt lässt.<br />
Wir reden ganz konkret über Anwendungen, Themen, Features, Wording, Marketingstrategien und Geschäftsmodelle und völlig abstrakt über Zahlen, Statistiken und wissenschaftliche Untersuchungen zur Frau im Web.<br /><br />
Ziel ist neben Networking, Spaß und Erkenntnis vor allem eins: unsere Blogs, Webapplikationen, Plattformen oder Online Shops erfolgreicher zu machen, indem wir lernen, die Bedürfnisse von Frauen und Männern im Netz besser zu verstehen und zu unterscheiden.<br /><br />
