Born in the Bronx, Dean spent 6 years in the U.S. Army Reserves where he spent many an afternoon doing push-ups for his comedic impressions of his sergeant. His first big break was on Russell Simmons' "Def Comedy Jam," and was a featured comedian on "Showtime at the Apollo."
