Garnet.G.Wilcox has been active in politics at various levels for many years. He has held positions on several local committees, been a student trustee on the Ontario North East School Board and also a youth officer for the federal riding of Timmins-James Bay. His education includes a certification in French as a Second Language through College Boreal Hearst Campus, a Career Diploma in Early Childhood Education through Stratford Career Institute, a year of the Social Service Worker program at Northern College and also a certification as a chainsaw operator. Starting in the Province of New Brunswick with a pit stop in Northern Ontario he now finds himself in Calgary, Alberta. He is employed as a Promotions Manager within the retail field.
As head of the Calgary Action Committee; Garnet's goals are to be an effective leader of an activist group that will be a voice for issues effecting Calgary; while also providing visibility for the NDYA.
