I own and edit UGLY.COM, which currently features UGLYbrandNEWS.
My first experience with computer graphics was when I joined the pioneering venture-funded picture processing company, Via Video, Inc., in 1982, and managed its Eastern Region training until 1986 from its New York City office.
I managed PR for Island Graphics Corporation, the San Rafael-based TARGA/TIPS, Graphic Arts & UNIX productivity ISV, from 1987 to 1994.
I have supported Mac users with digital photography, networking, backup and upgrade strategies in homes and small offices in the San Francisco Bay Area since 1994.
I currently offer creative design services for musicians and arts organizations. I have developed websites, online strategies, graphics and posters for artists, designers, athletes, musicians, photographers, gallery owners, non-profits & entrepreneurs. My poster project for the simultaneous free Earth Day Concerts in SF, Chicago and NYC can be seen on the Relix website.
I studied painting and drawing with Wayne Thiebaud and Roland Peterson, and was inspired by Robert Arneson, William T. Wiley and Roy DeForest at UC Davis. While earning my BFA in painting and drawing from UC Berkeley with Elmer Bischoff and Joan Brown, I worked as a courtroom artist for United Press International and other newspapers in the 1970's.
I drew the trials and hearings of Moscone and Milk killer Dan White - http://www.telenaut.com/danwhite; Black Panther Party founder Huey Newton; Patty Hearst's roommate Wendy Yoshimura and her kidnappers Bill & Emily Harris; People's Temple member Larry Layton; and the Chowchilla Bus Kidnappers. My drawings ran on UPI's US wire services and appeared in many papers in the San Francisco Bay Area, including the San Francisco Examiner, Hayward Daily Review, The Daily Cal, the San Mateo Times.
A small sample of of my figurative drawings can be seen on http://www.dnsf.com.
