"I like to build cool stuff" was the opening line of my Statement of Purpose when applying to Caltech's PhD program in 2000, and I still stand by that. I am building a University Outreach program for a Silicon Valley venture capital firm; I have invented, patented and built novel energy harvesting device using MEMS processes; I built a company to commercialize that work; I helped build an honors college at UTDallas; I helped build a nationally competitive debate team at UTDallas (the "nationally competitive" success belongs to incredible teammates, I was just did it for fun), I rebuilt a 1967 Volkswagen Karmann Ghia, ...
I am currently building companies (plural) premised on technologies that solve large market problems. I am always looking for good people and good technologies to help in these efforts.
