The incredible Pullo Family Performing Arts Center (Pullo Center) at Penn State York features a 1,016-seat theatre with full production capabilities, offering a diverse array of touring shows, concerts, and cultural, community and educational events.
The Pullo Center has seating for just over 1,000 and offers full theater capabilities. Students, faculty, staff, visitors, and guests will enjoy the intimacy of a smaller theater with the seating capacity of a larger venue because of the balcony that is part of the architectural design. We have a fully equipped theatre with state-of–the-art lighting and sound and one of the largest stage houses in the area. There's a full fly tower which allows us to bring in tours and traveling shows of all kinds.
The lower section of the building houses art classroom space. The performing arts center allows the campus to bring in a variety of entertainment and educational programming that compliments the offerings of other venues in the area. In addition to the free cultural series, the performing arts center is used for commencement, a Broadway series, and a variety of other activities and events. The performing arts center is also home to two resident companies - the York Youth Symphony Orchestra and the York Junior Symphony Orchestra – who rehearse and perform here. The Pullo Center also houses the campus' new Lee R. Glatfelter Library, which includes group study rooms, stack space, instructional space, and even its' own computer lab. More seating space is available in the new library and visitors have a spectacular view of Memorial Park, the City of York, campus, and the woods.
