Description:
Capacity: 91,000 +

There?s nothing like LSU?s Tiger Stadium on a Saturday night. The stadium, popularly known as ?Death Valley,? is considered by opposing teams as one of the most difficult stadiums in which to play because of fan enthusiasm. With the 2000 expansion, the stadium seats 91,644 spectators and is the fourth largest on-campus college football stadium in the country. Perhaps one of the most famous moments in Death Valley history took place on ?The Night the Tigers Moved the Earth,? October 8, 1988. It was on that night, when Tommy Hodson threw to Eddie Fuller for the winning touchdown against Auburn, that the explosion of the crowd was so thunderous it caused an earth tremor that registered on a seismograph meter in LSU?s Department of Geology & Geophysics across campus.
