Description:
[From Citysearch.com]
The stylish, crowd-friendly layout and eclectic lineup make this one of Capitol Hill's busiest clubs.

The Scene
The Breakroom's blue-collar vibe has been entirely re-cast by someone with an eye for fashion and a flare for kitsch: Chinese lanterns hang from the ceiling, portraits of Bruce Lee decorate the walls and a dim, red glow lights the dance floor. The layout is very accommodating to a good show: It's easy to get to both the bar and the bathroom, and the sightlines are decent across the whole room.

The Draw
The lineup--hit-or-miss when the club first opened its doors in 2002--has lately been impressive enough to suggest that Chop Suey will be around for a long time. The calendar is eclectic, but it seems to be working: DJs one night and indie rock the next, while the most popular night is Sunday's turntable-driven hip-hop show, "Yo, Son!"
