Description:
Kro is a Danish village pub. Obviously Manchester isn't a Danish village but we hope our bar will have the qualities and comforts of a Kro; it'll have good food, good beer and a warm welcome.
Kro, Sb.(En,-er) - Danish public house
325 Oxford Road is a large terraced house built in 1813 during the regency era. It was bought in the last century by the Manchester branch of the Temperance Society and owned by them until 1997. The core of the Temperance Society's ideals was abstinence from alcohol, I guess Krobar slaps that one in the face a little. However we try to adhere of their motto, that of 'purity, love and fidelity' by offering pure beers lovely food and high fidelity music, enjoy!
