For the second straight year, the United States Tennis Association (USTA) will hold its $50,000 Challenger Tournament at Sportsmen’s Tennis Club in Dorchester, MA. Named after the lead sponsor, Empire Loan, the qualifier round for the Empire US Pro Circuit Women’s $50,000 Challenger tournament will be held June 28 - 30 and the main event will run June 30th - July 6th.  The 32 players’ world rankings range from 61 to mid-200’s, and the players will be vying for a wildcard entry into the US Open – one of tennis’ premier grand-slam events.

In addition to the qualifying and main events, other activities will include Pro/Celebrity matches and a free kids’ day, which will feature a kids’ tennis clinic. There are night matches scheduled for Tuesday, July 1st and Wednesday July 2nd beginning at 5pm.

Admission is free through to the semifinals an at which point adults will pay a low $10 and kids continue to enter for free.
