Christ Church was organized in 1835 as the fourth Episcopal congregation in Brooklyn. It is designed by the renowned architect Richard Upjohn who also designed Trinity Church, Wall Street in Manhattan and the gates of the Green Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn. The interior was completely renovated and decorated in 1916 by Louis Comfort Tiffany.
