The mission of Pacific Northwest College of Art is to transform students into knowledgeable, articulate, practicing visual artists and designers with the ability to significantly contribute in original ways to the ongoing dialogue in art that shapes our culture. PNCA was founded in 1909 as the educational arm of the Portland Art Museum, and from its earliest days it has maintained a commitment to community arts programming. In it?s 97-year history, the College has provided an arts education to over 44,000 individuals of all ages. The College maintains several teaching galleries including the Philip Feldman Gallery + Project Space.
