One of the most historic locations in the Mid Atlantic, Elk Landing was the site of the British Invasion of 1777 in the American Revolution on its way to Philadelphia. In the War of 1812 the British once again tried to come on land but were repeled by the Cecil Militia. Historic site and grounds.
