A leather-biker bar, the Eagle caters to that largely male community. Still, it's one of this city's most inclusive gay establishments, offering an accepting atmosphere to anyone who stops in to check out its stiff drinks, benefit events and leather daddies. With an expansive outdoor patio that's adequately heated even on the chilliest nights, the SoMa bar is home to the renowned and ever-popular Sunday-afternoon beer bust ($8 gets you a bottomless pitcher), though the week can be slow. Thursday nights, however, tend to get packed, as the Eagle also hosts live music shows by local and touring acts, providing a much-needed gay space for the city's underground rock scene.
