The Old Floreat Hotel or "The Flozza" as it was affectionately known had been serving the Perth market for about thirty years. Like many bars of its generation, it had been left behind by the ever evolving trends in society. The market had grown more sophisticated and The Flozza needed to change.



The building was completely demolished in 2001 and its liquor licence was moved to a newly built structure a few hundred metres away. Its new location is on the corner of The Boulevard and Howtree Place adjoining the redeveloped Floreat Forum Shopping Centre.

As well as a new building there was also a new style of bar and on the 17th of October 2003, the waiting public got its chance to see Perth's bar industry move a quantum step forward.

The new Floreat is a multi-use venue and offers a fresh, open and relaxing atmosphere with its distinctive contemporary, yet modern feel and slight retro edge to it.

There are five areas offering separate functions and yet they comfortably coexisting under one roof.
