Description:
Artists' Television Access is a volunteer-run nonprofit organization which has provided equipment, education, and a screening venue for independent film and video to artists and the community in San Francisco's Mission District since the early '80s.

The Artists' Television Access screening room seats 100 and is equipped with a video projector, 16mm and Super8/standard 8mm projectors, sound system with 10 channel mixer, and DVD, Mini-DV & SVHS decks. All non-commercial work is considered. Email proposals or inquiries to ata@atasite.org, "attn: Programming".

The Artists' Television Access gallery presents monthly exhibitions of installation, time-based, and noncommercial art. ATA has two storefront windows to display video or sculptural installations. The main gallery shares space with the screening area, ideal for large format work (photos, prints, drawings, collages) easily seen from a short distance, above seating in the screening area. All exhibits run for one month and include an opening reception and promotion on the ATA website and calendar. Please send a short description of your work, 3-5 examples (slides, photos, VHS, mini-DV, digital files), a proposal for how you would use the space and a self-addressed stamped envelope to "attention: gallery" (to the address below) or email the Exhibitions Coordinator at gallery@atasite.org.

Artists? Television (ATV) screens local and international experimental video, film, and sound works on a first come first served basis every friday night at 10 o'clock on channel 29, City Visions Cable Access. Mail your S-VHS and VHS tapes to "attention: ATV" (to the address below). Submissions should be under 26 minutes in length (longer works will be broken up over 2 weeks.) Include artist's name, address, phone, title, and total running time. ATV is co-produced by day v jones, and .rk howie.

Artists' Television Access is always seeking new volunteers to join the staff. Drop in to pick up an application or send an email to volunteer@atasite.org!
