Christ Church Cathedral is located downtown in the heart of the city. Established in 1888, this is one of the oldest faith communities in Vancouver, and the oldest church building. Designated the Cathedral church of the Diocese of New Westminster in 1929 it is a place of worship, sanctuary and celebration where differences are welcomed, outreach is encouraged, faith is nurtured and education, arts and culture are valued and supported. The Cathedral's motto is: Open Doors, Open Hearts, Open Minds.
