A taste of Havana Cuba takes over Blue Owl Cocktail Room the 2nd Sunday of every month. The spicy party starts with readings from famed Cuban author Alberto Zayden, which The New York Times calls “Visionary”. He will be reading from his latest book Crying Like a Boxer starting at 6PM.

At 9pm, Cuban-American singer Malena Perez (www.myspace.com/malenaperez) will be performing her distinct “Nu Latin Jazz & Soul”. Her sultry songs in both English and Spanish have been claimed as “the Latin version of - “Everything But the Girl”…. “one of the top “Self Made Artists” on myspace.com.” by Billboard magazine.

In keeping with the sexy Cuban-inspired night, Blue Owl will feature Mojito specials all night and Cuban-seeded hand-rolled cigars, courtesy of host Ashley Smith, to be enjoyed on the smoking terrace.

$5 Specialty cocktails and ½ price Charcuterie menu until 8pm.
