Boutwell Municipal Auditorium is surrounded by the eclectic mixture of the downtown Birmingham business district. Boutwell's interior, cunningly decorated in art deco fashion, is the site of two entertainment areas. The large Main Arena seats 5,000 people at full capacity and the smaller Exhibition Hall will hold a maximum of 750. From sports events, elegant balls, rock concerts and other theatrical productions, to receptions, fashion and trade shows and meetings of all types, the Boutwell Municipal Auditorium offers facilities to accommodate a wide variety of activities.
