Housing Works Bookstore Café is a venue for some of the city's best cultural events. Our weekly reading series has featured hundreds of authors including Dave Eggers, Jonathan Lethem and Mary Gaitskill; our monthly concert series has brought Ryan Adams, John Mayer, Tracy Chapman, Corrine Bailey Rae and many more talented performers to play for select audiences on the third Friday of every month.

Housing Works Bookstore Café is an independent cultural center that offers patrons a unique opportunity to join the fight against AIDS and homelessness. Arts-based philanthropy in practice, we allow visitors to make a difference simply by buying or donating books; eating at our cafe; coming to concerts, readings, and special events; or volunteering for our staff.
