Citywide campaign aims to improve air quality and combat high gas prices
WHAT: The Greater Austin Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and Ethos Austin partner to launch the Ethos Challenge, a citywide campaign aiming to improve Austin’s air quality and help consumers fight higher gas prices. State Representative Mark Strama will attend this environmentally friendly event to show his commitment to protect and improve Central Texas's natural environment. All proceeds benefit the GAHCC.
The event will include BBQ, DJ and live music, a competition for the best custom car and a first prize of 3 days 2 nights hotel accommodation. The event is open to all custom car owners who want to compete for the first place award.
WHY: Ethos Austin’s goal is to have 100,000 vehicles in the Greater Austin area reduce their emissions by 30% or more by the end of 2007. Some vehicles already participating in the Ethos Challenge are showing zero emissions of carbon monoxide in their emission tests. That’s a 100 percent reduction.
Come learn how you can:
* Increase your miles per gallon
as much as 20% on All Vehicles.
* Increase performance
by allowing engines to perform cooler, smoother and with more vigor.
* Eliminate toxic emissions
of carbon monoxide up to 100% (see our emissions test results)
* We are Environmentally safe
because Ethos is non-toxic,
non-flammable, and EPA certified.
