Clutch Cargo?s is located in what was an old church, making it a unique place to see a show or to go out and to get your dance on. Since 1996, Clutch Cargo?s has showcased national major label bands and upcoming bands in the music scene. Very rarely, if ever, will you find a local band playing at this venue. The setup of Clutch Cargo?s is fairly simple. The main floor is a large square shaped room with bars on each of the sides. There is a small upper level that horseshoes around the edge of the club that makes for some different views of the band and can be interesting for people watching. Depending on the schedule of concerts, Clutch Cargo?s usually hosts three club nights per week for those who want to ?bump and grind?, featuring music ranging from techno, funk, latin, alternative and everything in between. As an added bonus, Clutch Cargo?s was voted ?best bar to find a one-night stand? by the Metro Times in 2001
