Opened in February 2000, Manhattan Theatre Source at Washington Square Park is a not-for-profit art service organization run by full-time volunteers. Its 50-seat theatre, book store and cabaret have provided opportunities for more than 4,500 artists to work in 650 productions since its opening. A new, beautifully appointed audition room opened in March. Manhattan Theatre Source provides workshops, marketing and design support, voiceover and video editing services and career consulting to artists. Called “one of the quintessential downtown Off-Off Broadway venues” by Gay City News, Manhattan Theatre Source has premiered the Obie Award-winning musical [title of show], CORONADO by Dennis Lehane (Mystic River), and Andrew Frank and Doug Silver’s musical SIDD.
